A kitchen meant to last a lifetime cannot be built from the same materials as one designed to be replaced in ten years. We worked the list backwards: from where the kitchen should be after thirty years — and removed everything that visibly fails before then. What remained is a short list. Stainless steel as the corpus. Linoleum on solid wood as the front. Natural stone or ceramic as the worktop. Nothing else.

Stainless steel is the standard in professional kitchens because it covers the requirements list more compactly than anything else: non-porous, acid-proof, heat-proof, rust-proof, food-safe to international standards. What survives a starred restaurant 24/7 against acid, heat and cleaning agents will hold at home for a lifetime. Set hot pots straight down. Cut lemons. Spill vinegar — no burn marks, no discolouration. And in the end: melt it down, cast it again. Without quality loss.

Linoleum is not plastic. It is made of linseed oil, resin, wood flour and natural pigments — pressed onto a solid-wood carrier. The surface is warm, slightly velvety, antibacterial and repairable. It does not age, it patinates. If in ten years you want a different mood in the kitchen, you change the linoleum — not the front. 24 colours, every one a natural material.

Chipboard is the material choice that cuts the lifespan of a built-in kitchen from twenty years to ten. We use it nowhere. The carrier panels under the linoleum, the drawer bodies, the interior fittings — everything is solid wood. That is more expensive to source, but it means a kitchen to keep does not swell, does not bleed, and does not warp even after three moves.

The worktop is where everything happens — hot, sharp, acidic, wet. We offer two materials that hold up to that everyday: natural stone and ceramic. Both are non-porous, both scratch-resistant, both heat-resistant. Stone brings character that gets more beautiful with every mark. Ceramic stays nearly unchanged, even after twenty years.
