Solid-wood fronts and linoleum, from classic to bold.
Linoleum, because it's a natural material. That it happens to come in 24 colours is a welcome side effect – not a design argument.

Linseed oil, resin, wood flour and natural pigments — pressed onto a solid-wood carrier. A material that breathes and ages like wood, not like plastic.

Linoleum is not cold, not slick. Slightly velvety, gives way under the finger, feels like paper with substance. A front you actually want to touch.
The surface is naturally germ-inhibiting, without chemical additives. Forbo certifies it for hospitals and schools — for a kitchen that's more than enough.
Scratches can be polished out, spots re-oiled. Forbo guarantees the material for 25 years — in practice linoleum often lasts considerably longer.
Because the front thickness isn't fixed, other materials can come in too: a kitchen with 1 cm Porto slate fronts and 2 cm of the same stone wrapping the body. Solid-wood fronts in oak and spruce, recycled plastic from Durat or brushed stainless steel for outdoor use.
